EVGENIA USIMOVA
Evgenia Usimova has been trained in the classical manner. However, she has been working in the contemporary environment. This combination of classic and contemporary approaches allows for a more in-depth analysis of the shifting gender-based paradigm. Also, it is not a coincidence that Evgenia has trained and now is based in Berlin, the city constantly going through its own mission of self-discovery and evolving identity. Evgenia Usimova is a sculptor-monumentalist.
Evgenia Usimova, the 38 year old professional sculptor, lives and works in Berlin. She is a laureate
of international competitions, and in 2018 she was awarded the prize at the International sculpture symposium «Putti» Neuzelle Germany. Nine of her sculptures adorn parks throughout Germany, with seven of them in Berlin. Evgenia has also participated in many personal and museum exhibitions over the years, such as the Erarta Museum of Contemporary Art in St. Petersburg and the Bauhaus Museum in Dessau.
